A team of three modelers, including Martin Tärnrot, built two entire city blocks in one weekend – how did they do it?

Modelers usually create a mockup of the city scene they plan to build. But scratch building structures is extremely time consuming. With this new method, the mockup is the actual build but is developed in several stages, up to where it is the prototypical building, detailed and weathered to the standards you want on your layout. This saves an incredible amount of time.

Martin takes us step by step through the process. The team used economical and readily available materials and a laser cutter, which is not expensive today.
