December’s Track Talk Live with Doug Hodgdon and Steve Doyle was the final installment of 2016, and featured many questions regarding paint stripping, basic track design and electrical hookups, selling vintage post-war trains, adding DCC to engines and best materials for creating mountains. MRA members and live Track Talk Live viewers from around the world were looking forward to the holidays for a little extra time to tackle those special projects on their layouts – or merely the joy of running trains!

Great show
I sent in a question for last month's Track Talk Live asking for a discussion about the pros and cons of using lift-out vs. swing-gate vs. flip-up sections to allow for easy access to a layout. The topic was mentioned at one point, but I believe it was Doug that said you would be talking more about that later, but then nothing else was said about it. I thought maybe it would be carried over to December's show, but I just watched it and it was not mentioned at all. Did I miss it somehow?
What adhesive would you recommend for attaching figures and vehicles to a portable (goes down the road on metal racks in a trailer) modular HO layout?
AH..HA.. SO A DCC ENGINE ON STD BY , SOUND ON, LIGHTS ON, TURNING UP THE VOLTAGE WILL ALSO INCREASE THE VOLUME, SUCH AS THE BELL SOUND?? I AM USING THE BACHMANN EZ TRACK SYSTEM WITH BACHMANN ENGINES
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU BOTH!!
How soon do you see LCC coming to market with the top DCC brands?
I CANNOT GET HORNBY.RIVAROSSI TO ANSWER THE PHONE OR RETURN MESSAGES REF SERVICE ON MY BERKSHIRE 2-8-4. ANY SUGGESTIONS?? THANKS YOU. YOU GUYS ARE DOING A GREAT SERVICE, I WOULD PUT YU AT MODEL RAILROAD VIDEO 901
"Magne-Traction" was Lionel's magnetized-driving-wheel(s) solution to wheel-slippage; wheels would adhere magnetically to the toy-track rails, increasing tractive effort. (i was/am AF [Pull-Mor], so cannot speak to specific Lionel details nor when M-T was ceased)
Where do you see train products in the next 10 Years? Manufacturers maybe not making product but designs to be downloaded to print? Or do you still see injection molding still dominating the hobby?
my 1949 Lionel Berkshire has magna traction. Never worked worth a poot.
