The Scrap Yard
Martin TärnrotModeler Martin Tärnrot presents the methods he uses for modeling a scrap yard line-side on an HO-scale layout. This project has several component parts, starting with ground preparations. When the ground works are in place, engrave and paint the concrete plate, then weather the surface.
Next add the details of the scrap yard, such as concrete walls, steel beams, containers to store various types of scrap, and an excavator with peel grapple. These are 3D printed from set #DET-0067 on CG Trader. Paint, weather, and assemble the parts. Then you’re ready to create piles of scrap.
