Modelers around the world have appreciated George Sellios and Fine Scale Miniatures for his incredibly detailed scale structures, but it wasn’t until 1985 that George finally decided to build his first full HO scale model railroad. A passion for trains and the urge to create has driven George back to the workshop since he was a teenager when he built structures out of recycled cigar boxes, and that love for the railroad will never leave him.

In this segment on George’s in-progress construction of Franklin & South Manchester Railroad, George sits down with host Allen Keller to discuss what and who inspires him to create the remarkably realistic scenery that model railroaders know and expect from this master of the hobby. You’ll learn how George got his start in model railroading and discover what allows him to do his best work day in and day out. We were inspired by George’s dedication to the craft, and we think you will be, too!
